This 2-day conference is open to all human resource professionals, career services staff and relevant association representatives within the agriculture, food science, natural resources and biotechnology industries and is an excellent networking opportunity. These fun, optional activities will start the conference off with a bang. Participate in one of these selections and get a head start on networking with your peers within the industry.
Option 1 - Golf Outing (Green fees apply)
Last year we held the first annual Ag HR Roundtable Golf Tournament, and the group had a great time competing for the winning round. The fun and relaxed atmosphere allowed for great conversation and easy-going competitive rivalries. If you are golfer, don't miss this opportunity!
Option 2 - Historical Tour of St. Louis ($45 participation fee)
For those that aren't golfers, take advantage of this educational and interesting tour of St. Louis. View the historical sites while relaxing with your peers. This entertaining tour is sure to get you familiar with your surroundings while at the conference as well as promote you to 'expert' status on the history of St. Louis! | 6:00 - 9:00
| Opening Reception (hotel) Join AgCareers.com for the official opening of the 2008 Ag HR Roundtable. The Welcome Reception will begin with opening comments at 6:30, with appetizers and cocktails to follow. Again, this is another great opportunity to get valuable networking in. | | August 5, 2008 | | 7:00 - 8:15 am | Agriculture 101 --optional working breakfast at the hotel - This session will help those that aren't familiar with the many aspects of agriculture jobs to learn and understand what some of the main job opportunities entail. Go through what some of the most popular and up-and-coming jobs do on a day to day basis. This session is a great refresher for everyone, but is particularly perfect for HR Managers or Career Services professionals that didn't grow up in the agriculture world.
