February 11, 2013

August 6 – 8, 2013 • Johnston, IA • Register Today!

We are going back to our roots! AgCareers.com is pleased to be returning to where the first Ag & Food HR Roundtable was held, DuPont Pioneer. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the 11th Ag & Food HR Roundtable, August 6 – 8, 2013. You won’t want to miss the exceptional networking, continuing education and fun waiting at this year’s event.

The Ag & Food HR Roundtable is the premier North American event for HR and educational professionals that provides relevant content examining recruitment and retention specifically within the ag and food industry. The combination of HR and educational professionals provides a unique and rewarding networking experience found nowhere else.

AgCareers.com is happy to announce the line-up of topics selected for the 2013 North American Ag & Food HR Roundtable. The 2013 Roundtable Organizing Committee met in December to help provide input and select hot topics that human resource professionals, managers, university/college staff and associations within the agriculture industry are currently facing. From this brainstorming session, the following topics were outlined.

2013 Roundtable Topic Schedule:
·         An Honorable Profession
·         Evaluating Today’s Talent Pipeline
·         Finding Tomorrows Leaders
·         Collaborations of Industry and Education to Fill Industry Needs
·         Effective Recruitment Strategies of Returning Veterans
·         Talking to Students about Job Offers (concurrent session)
·         Translating Military Experience for the Workplace (concurrent session)
·         Disengaging Employees (concurrent session)
·         Engaging Multiple Generations in the Workplace Through Reward Programs
·         Beg, Borrow and Share – A Closed Session (concurrent session)
·         Social Media for the Workplace (concurrent session)
·         Succession Planning Best Practices (concurrent session)
This year’s topics will set the stage for what will be a successful event.  Beyond the traditional educational sessions, the Organizing Committee has planned another year of fun, social events to get in plenty of networking, such as an optional Tour of DuPont Pioneer’s Campus, the Welcome Reception, Table Topics breakfast, White Paper Development breakfast, and a fun networking dinner.
NEW THIS YEAR! We are also offering an add-on workshop for those responsible for compensation and benefits. This special workshop will incorporate main sessions from the Roundtable and supplemental sessions following the close of the Roundtable specific to compensation and benefits high interest issues. Add this track onto your Roundtable registration for a discounted rate. Topics include Developing Total Reward Solutions; Pay for Performance Schemes; and Marketing Benefit Programs for Maximum Employee Use. If you are interested in participating in only the compensation and benefits workshop, please email compensation@agcareers.com.
We would once again like to thank our host, DuPont Pioneer. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors of this event – BASF, CHS, FFA, Valent, Dow AgroSciences, Syngenta, Wilbur-Ellis, AFA, and Helena. Without their support, we would not be able to offer such an event.
You can register today by clicking here. If you’d like to be added to the mailing list for the event, please click here and provide your contact information. If you have any questions, please email agcareers@agcareers.com or call 800.672.8552 x.28.
