This is a temporary, 8-month contract position from March to November 2012
 
·         Assist in the planting, spraying, maintaining, evaluating, and harvesting of small plot agronomy, chemistry, and trait development research trials
·         Accurately enter and manage research data
·         Maintain, transport and operate research equipment
·         Monitor compliance of canola trait development research sites
·         Assist with tours at key demonstration sites


Qualifications:
·         Agriculture Degree or Diploma student or graduate
·         Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
·         Strong organization and time management skills
·         Strong communication  skills
·         Willingness to accept responsibility
·         Good understanding of agronomic practices
·         Basic mechanical skills; ability to operate farm machinery
·         Farm background is an asset
·         Clean driving  record
