Job Title: Seed and Agronomy Advisor Intern

Winfield Business Unit: Winfield Solutions is an industry leader in crop protection and farm seed products, providing insights an expertise in this area. Our brands include AgriSolutionsTM crop protection products and CROPLAN GENETICS® seed.

Position Purpose:This position is intended to be a training position for future development into a Seed and Agronomy Advisor (SAA) or other appropriate role within WinField Solutions. As an SAA intern, this position will assist other SAA's in all sales and agronomy related activities in the retail market within the assigned geography. Responsibilities will include: collecting weekly samples and scouting fields; learning chemigation and fertigation practices; learning pest and nutrient thresholds.

Hours and Schedule:
Work summer months (mid May through August 31), 40 hours week + overtime when needed.

Job Location:
This position will be field based (assigned to work with a WinField Solutions SAA). Will be required to travel throughout the assigned region, so must have a valid drivers' license. Company transportation and expense reimbursement will be provided.

Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education: High school diploma. Must also have an interest in or is pursing further education in Ag related field.

Required Competencies & Other Skills: Clear communication skills (verbal & written); decision making; problem solving and analytical skills. Must be customer focused and display a strong work ethic. Be able to follow directions and work independently. Computer skills also essential in Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point.
