Quality Assurance Manager
Function:Manufacturing and Operations

Business Unit:Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency.
Position Purpose:To establish, supervise, administer and monitor Spencer facility quality assurance programs to assure that policies, procedures, specifications, HACCP, and ISO 9002 standards and regulatory requirements are consistently followed.
Assist the management teams in the maintenance of the quality system.
Administer and test plant product recall systems.
Required (Basic) Experience &
Education:Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or related field.
10+ years experience in a food processing environment.
Experience in program management and administration.
Computer proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication skills, unquestionable integrity, customer focus, detail oriented.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:Within the GMP and ISO 9002 framework, establish and maintain quality systems in the Spencer facility relating to raw ingredients, production procedures, finished goods, GMP's, Sanitation, and recordkeeping that will ensure consistent product quality and compliance with Land O'Lakes policies and specifications.
Provide technical support to the plants in the areas of production and product design, new products, and problem solving.
Integrate statistical control methodology to monitor in-process and final product testing to reduce variation in the product streams.
Assist facilities with training, provide direction to departmental staff, and interface with Marketing to evaluate consumer and customer feedback on quality.
Staffs plant Quality with highly skilled supervisors.
Assures laboratory results are accurate and responsive.
Assures hold/reject program functions appropriately.
Understand the importance of meeting customer as well as statutory and regulatory requirements.
Comply with appropriate written procedures and work instructions.
Promotes Land O'Lakes values.
