Sanitation Manager

Business Unit:Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency.
Position Purpose:As a Sanitation Manager in our Dairy Manufacturing facility in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, you are responsible for the management and coordination of the sanitation processes involved in the manufacturing of powder and butter products to consistently and reliably meet Land O'Lakes standards, regulatory requirements, Global Food Safety Requirements and customer requirements. You will ensure all activity associated with Sanitation is being completed and will develop/modify the schedule for all sanitation activity. Refine Key Performance Indicators for sanitation and GMP. Report performance and educate organization. Manage other quality related programs as assigned by the QA Manager. This position is also responsible for managing work orders and managing labor. The schedule for this position is based on regular business hours but hours will be required off shift. Must also be willing to relocate within the Land O'Lakes system.
Required (Basic) Experience &

Education:To be considered for this position, you must have a BS in Food/Dairy Science, Chemistry, or related field AND 10+ years experience in sanitation with supervisory responsibilities.


Required Competencies & Other Skills:Experience providing saniation leadership in a food processing environment. Experience conducting regular sanitation inspections and audits of products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws, plant standards, and company specifications. Compiling reports regarding regular inspection, sanitation violations, and taking steps to resolve deficiencies. Demonstrated success in managing costs. Demonstrated problem solving and corrective action execution skills. Quality systems and programs experience with a preventative focus. Ability to facilitate change and involve employees to continually improve plant operations. Demonstrated customer focus with clear understanding of measurements to assess customer acceptance. Solid conflict resolution skills. Unquestionable ethics and values. Well developed skills in managing and measuring. Proved results oriented track record. Good verbal interpersonal skills. Good written and presentation skills in order to improve organizational capabilities. Must be computer literate. Committment to get results through others.
