The primary responsibility of this role as Delinter, US Cotton Supply Chain Dept. is to assist Plant Manager in the day to day plant operations, tracking chemical and bag inventories to meet processing demands as well as operation of plant equipment, monitoring quality, inventory and overseeing plant personnel.

The incumbent will: • Be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of all plant equipment to achieve daily goals established by the site processing plan; • Achieve quality results through plant equipment adjustments based on plant monitoring information captured during daily production to meet all quality standards on finished lots; • Perform cleanups in plant to pass inspection of site manager to eliminate the possibility of mixture of a variety or technology; • Achieve accurate inventory counts by assisting Plant Manager in month end physical counts on chemicals and reconciled against SAP; • Lead and direct others in plant processes; • Maintain good housekeeping practices and follow all safety policies ensuring a safe work environment; • Assist in other areas of site as needed.

The selected candidate is required to possess the following: • High School Diploma or equivalent; • 2 to 3 years’ experience in plant production, quality assurance, research, cotton ginning, or seed conditioning; • Ability to read, write and understand measuring equipment and readings; • Mechanical abilities; • Knowledge of personal computers with ability to use Excel, Word and email; • Ability to adjust to different job settings within the site; • Ability to receive and follow direction and follow written procedures; • Organizational skills; • Effective communication skills; • Demonstrated team oriented abilities; • Ability to work shifts since there is potential for cyclical shift work from September to May.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or B.S. degree, preferably in supply chain/ logistics or agronomic/scientific background; • 2 to 3 years’ experience in agriculture quality assurance, cotton ginning, or seed conditioning.
