*Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations while maintaining flexibility for the operation and maintenance of the GB Chlorothalonil facility, as part of the Syngenta Global Supply Chain.
*Provide support for plant changes in a fiscally efficient manner.
*Direct the development of personnel and systems in the department to deliver a high performance organization.
-Ensure site compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Syngenta/GB Biosciences requirements.
-Audit safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards; revise, develop, and modify, as necessary.
-Audit site practices to ensure compliance with procedures and policies and to ensure consistency across the site.
-Develop, administer, conduct, and communicate site safety training programs, including computer based training modules.
-Assist supervision with incident investigations. Be able to navigate within established incident tracking system database. Assist with formal root cause analysis as needed.
-Coordinate and manage project and outage HSE considerations.
-Evaluate and industrial hygiene needs for the site. Establish action plan to meet needs.
-Coordinate waste disposal, pollution prevention, and asbestos programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
-Bachelor of Science in Technical field, preferably Safety and Health related
-5-10 years experience in a refining or chemical manufacturing facility
-Knowledge of regulatory requirements as applies to site operations
-Solid foundation and understanding of Process Safety Management
-Experience with implementation of industrial hygiene programs preferred
-Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP),
-Familiarity of HSE auditing processes
-Familiarity of chemical process operations
-Understands and can conduct formal incident investigations including root cause analysis
-Strong verbal and written communication skills required
-Self motivated, strategic thinking, and possess a high energy level

-Travel would be less than 10% domestic travel
