This position requires a candidate who is highly self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to supervise and motivate a skilled team of QA Analysts and Testing Coordinators. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new technologies rapidly.   This person will work with the US IT Commercial team to delivery quality applications for our business as well as drive continuous process improvements and process adherence across the entire organization.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the delivery of US IT services with the expected quality standards
  • Ensure the delivery of US IT services in alignment with business needs and requirements
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of US IT processes
Scope of Management Responsibilities
  • Quality Management
  • Define, communicate, execute and enforce the use of the Continuous Improvement processes within US IT
  • Identify and execute lean initiatives within the US IT group
  • Conduct a periodic audit / review of US IT processes/activities to ensure adherence to standards and quality delivery
  • Gather and facilitate a review of lessons learned identified within the SDLC processes
  • Coordinate the development and execution of action plans to address gaps identified within Customer Satisfaction surveys or Lessons Learned reviews
  • Define and deploy a strategy for Knowledge capture, structuring, and sharing among all teams within US IT
  • Maintain documentation of all US IT processes
Metrics Management
  • Define, implement and maintain a metrics framework for the US IT group
  • Ensure measurement and periodical review of the defined metrics(enforce data gathering and reporting processes)
  • Provide oversight of action items identified during the Metrics/KPIs reviews
Testing Management
  • Oversee the development of a testing strategy and testing plans for new solutions and enhancements
  • Ensure the execution of solution testing activities to validate the completion/fulfillment of Functional and Non-Functional requirements
  • Oversee the creation of solution test scenarios and test data (coordinating with the Business Analysts and Data Management teams)
  • Coordinate with the Global Infrastructure team to ensure the execution of system testing (e.g. stress testing) in alignment with US IT needs
  • Oversee execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating with the business users / business analysts as required
  • Coordinate with the Data Management group to fulfill testing data requirements
Essential Day-to-Day Activities
  • Supervise a team of Quality Assurance Analyst and Testing Coordinators
  • Plan, organize, document and lead testing efforts on multiple projects
  • Represent QA and Testing in inter-departmental meetings
  • Develop testing assignments and monitor progress to ensure meeting aggressive schedules.
  • Design, develop, and maintain appropriate test documentation including Test Plans, Test Requirements, and Test Cases.
  • Provide detailed analysis and trends on defects discovered in various testing phases.
  • Actively engage with the Functional and Development teams to re-create and correct defects.
  • Drive identification and implementation of ideas for team and process improvement.
  • Drive gathering of data and reporting on US IT metrics in order to identify areas for improvement 


Qualifications:
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Team Lead or Manager in an IT testing organization
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience or familiarity with Worksoft Certify testing tool or other Test automation tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Strong experience authoring Functional Designs, Functional Specs, and Functional Unit Tests
  • Knowledge of SAP testing environment
  • QA Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
