Sr. Credit Representative

Position Purpose:The Sr. Credit Rep is responsible for managing the risk and receivables of an assigned portfolio of customers. The duties include determining credit worthiness of new and existing customers within assigned authority level. The Coordinator sets and enforces the appropriate credit limits by reviewing credit applications and references, analyzing the customer's financial statements, and utilizing credit reports and other Industry Credit group information. They will resolve account inquiries from customers and internal staff, handle finance charge invoice negotiations, as well as reconciles customer accounts.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:High school diploma required along with a minimum of 2-4 years prior relevant work experience in credit, customer service, collections, account reconciliation. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Email, Word, and Excel) and demonstrate a basic accounting knowledge. Must have strong telephone communication skills.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:Demonstrated effective interpersonal communications skills (verbal and written), ability to work collaboratively on a team, solid critical thinking skills, be results driven, strong organizational and prioritization skills, and a can-do attitude. Must be comfortable working with customers and heavy phone work.
Preferred Experience & Education:Bachelor's degree (or pursuit of degree) strongly desired. Prior knowledge of JD Edwards ERP system would be very beneficial and helpful for this position. Prior work experience with Business Law and Accounts Receivables preferred.
