Job Description:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading brand development for Retail, Food Service, Deli and C-Store channels that is aligned with business goals & objectives for the Refrigerated Processed Meats Business Unit. This will involve working cross functionally with the internal and external Insights/Research teams, sales teams, customer development and business unit teams, as well as R&D and Culinary to develop brand strategies & positioning for the Refrigerated Processed Meats category (Tyson, Wright, Russer, Wilson, Weaver, Thorn Apple Valley, Corn King Brands as well as private label).
Specific responsibilities include: serving as communication liaison between business units, sales, marketing and customers; understanding the competitive set and market place position of product offerings; assisting the sales team and customers to improve forecast accuracy; working with sales team, business unit and customer to implement solutions and drive marketplace change in regards to raw materials, process technology, and other product related areas; working with sales team to execute the overall business strategy; developing implementation timelines and communicating progress against milestones to sales, customers and business units; leading cross functional teams in implementation of initiatives to improve go-to-market strategies and processes; and directing Tyson resources through the implementation or manufacturing of a newly developed product or change to existing item.
This position will also be responsible for assisting the margin managers in SKU rationalization and working with internal/external agencies in developing & implementing communication strategies to drive execution of Tyson brand initiatives; any other duties as needed.


Education: BS or BA in business-related program preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 7+ years' professional business experience; strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to articulate business intelligence. Both Retail and Foodservice industry experience is preferred. Communications/Agency experience is a plus. Person must be a highly-skilled project manager able to manage several projects at one time.

Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, especially with PowerPoint, and Excel; working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Supervisory: This position will have one direct report.

Travel: 10-15%.
