Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
To establish a unique business relationship with the Regional Seed Company account(s) with an objective to increase Syngenta Seed Care profitability and market-share expansion through long term account growth strategy development. Regional Account Lead Seedcare to develop and lead the Seed Care strategy at key sites for selected accounts operating across local and regional geographies.

Accountabilities: Strategic Lead – “Shaping the Account"
Regular / periodic contact with customer Senior Management Team. Coordinate development & implementation of short / long term strategy (strategic initiatives).
Direct execution of customer-based programs while managing brand-related competitive issues at customer level.
Leveraging Syngenta portfolio across Seed Care, CP & Seeds / Greenleaf Genetics (as required) to build compelling offers.
Leverage accounts so as to maximize profitable account share growth.
Key player in product life cycle strategies/tacticsContract / Offer Development – Negotiation.
Develop / manage initiatives (inc budget & exposure) for top line growth US link within KAM, CP and Greenleaf Genetics organizations.
Indentify and develop “organizational points of alignment”.
Account Analysis; Maximize account profitability.
Competitive Intel / Trend Analysis
Development / Sales Collaboration
Develop / Maintain Forecast Processes
Manage Customer “Firewalls” Coordinate with functional support and other business groups on customer activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Critical knowledge: :
It is essential that the candidate have a broad knowledge of the product portfolio and corresponding seed and crop markets. The candidate must be able to recognize competitive activities in the marketplace and know how to effectively minimize impact without compromising profitability targets. The candidate must have knowledge of multi-step seed distribution, organizational effectiveness, product life cycles and demonstrated knowledge of product, brand and crops.

Critical Experience:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture. The candidate must have a minimum 7+ years in industry, sales/marketing management experience and previous customer account management and proven history in strategic decision making.

Critical technical, professional & personal capabilities:
Candidate must possess have strong demonstrated skills in organizational expertise/effectiveness, decision making, business plans/strategies, negotiation skills, networking/communications, interpersonal skills, tactical effectiveness, change orientation, strategic development and problem solving. The candidate must be team focused and exhibit a passion for continued success.

Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges: Ability to work effectively with all levels of clients/customers (internal & external).
Effective communication and management skills to coordinate multiple projects with a wide group of internal and external customers.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing demands and a diverse customer base.
Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse array of customers within established budget.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
Two years current position preferred. Candidates who have been in their current position a minimum of one year will be considered if they have the approval of their current business unit leader and hiring business unit leader.
Must sign a non-compete if offered this position.
Travel Requirements ~ 50%
