Job Description:
SUMMARY: This positions is a training position that will be responsible for learning the daily, overall operation of production. This includes, but not limited to, quality, safety and any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management; will be expected to step in and maintain daily surveillance of overall operation; oversee performance facets of the plant; monitor product quality, yields and general efficiencies of all the departments; supplement all critical plantplanning functions, e.g. labor relations, safety, performance and maintenance; increase plant profitability and demonstrate an active effort to improve efficiency and profitability; evaluate continually the general appearance of the plant and all physical facility; uphold Tyson's Code of Conduct. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years business experience with 4 years general foreman level or above. Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills a must. Travel: As required Supervisory: This position is responsible for managing several groups of personnel (management, support and hourly) who perform diverse tasks and activities in more than one department. Special Skills: Knowledge of processing and/or slaughter operations, techniques and processes a plus. This individual must have proven leadership and problem solving skills.
