Sr. Consumer Relations Specialist

Business Unit:Land O'Lakes Dairy Foods division is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States.
Position Purpose:Exceeds the responsibilities and expectations of a Consumer Affairs Specialist with minimal supervision: improve/maintain consumer retention and loyalty through a high level of consumer satisfaction in keeping with the integrity and image of Land O'Lakes. Responsible for appropriate handling of all consumer contacts via phone, mail and web. Accurately records consumer data, prepares and generates consumer response, and takes a leadership role in knowledge of assigned product line. Informational feed to business teams i.e. translating data, identifying consumer and product trends and alert the organization for potential product/health issues.
Acts as consultant to staff in deciding course of action in handling consumer problems, developing responses to consumers i.e. customized letters, standard letters/paragraphs for system and e-mail responses.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:Education: BA/BS in Consumer Affairs, Consumer Studies, Business Administration, Food Science or Food related field; or equivalent experience.

Experience: Five to six years experience as consumer relations representative.

Technical Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel; computer savvy.
