SUMMARY: This position is responsible for learning how to hire, train, monitor, and administer the job duties of QA hourly personnel. This includes learning and understanding of the Quality Assurance programs, specifications, labeling, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
The position requires that basic management skills be learned in communication, problem resolution, plant processing, and cross training in other departments in the facility.
Other duties include special projects assigned by the QA manager, computer applications, record management and verification, and statistical process control.
This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.
Education: Broad knowledge in general professional or technical field normally acquired through a Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the job.
Experience: No experience required.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, especially in MS Office.
Travel: 1 plus trips per year.
Special Skills: Must be willing to relocate.
POSITION REPORTS TO: Division Quality Assurance Manager
Original location will begin in Blountsville, AL location. After the training period, the successful candidates must be willing to relocate to any Tyson location.
