What is a “Customer Service Representative”?
The Customer Service Representative is an integral part of our sales team, working with sales staff to ensure a quality experience to our rural customers. A CSR’s main responsibilities are to direct customers to financial services that best fit their needs, work with the sales and credit staff to gather financial and personal information to prepare loan documents, and guide customers through the lending process from start to finish. A CSR is also responsible for cross selling products and building relationships with existing customers.

Additional responsibilities may include entering financial information into appropriate FCS systems, event planning and general customer service, ordering title work, background checks, and appraisals for loans.

Extensive, in house training is provided as we do not require experience in finance. While in training you are assigned a CSR mentor in your office or region - a “go to” person for questions and guidance. Every 2-3 weeks new CSRs complete required course work and attend classroom training at our Central Office in Louisville, Kentucky. This structured training is where CSRs begin to learn the products and services Farm Credit has to offer. The basics of accounting and finance are also an integral portion of the program, coupled with the opportunity to meet and learn with other FCS employees. Training sessions last 2-3 days, and training duration is dependent on professional experience.

Salary Range:
Salary is determined by experience. CSRs also have the opportunity to earn team incentives and annual performance increases.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma. Bachelor’s degree and personal or professional experience in agriculture or banking is desired but not required.
No experience in finance required.
