Business Unit:Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.
 

Position Purpose:Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's existing systems of control; monitor compliance with corporate systems and procedures by means of periodic testing and review; verify the existence of assets and the extent to which they are safeguarded from loss; determine the reliability and effectiveness of reporting systems and management data; assist in the application of accounting practices, information systems procedures, and financial and operational policies and procedures throughout the company; identify, analyze, and prioritize business risks; assign and supervise audit responsibilities; review work performed by audit teams; identify problems and develop solutions; manage and influence others; manage audit project timelines; communicate audit project progress timely to appropriate persons and audit managers; provide appropriate feedback to other staff; communicate findings to management orally and in an audit report; provide general assistance to management by performing special reviews of operations when requested; assist and supplement the work of the company's independent outside auditors; and perform other duties as assigned.
 

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business discipline with appropriate courses and related experience; and 3+ years Audit experience or Accounting/Finance related experience


Required Competencies & Other Skills:Demonstration of excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong analytical and organizational skills; experience in Microsoft Office products; ability to establish effective working relationships with audit staff and other company personnel; effective use of resources to accomplish audit project objectives; knowledge of the principles, procedures, practices of accounting and financial records and transactions; and knowledge of the COSO internal control framework


Preferred Experience & Education:


Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:Willingness to pursue CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA, CFE, MBA, or other professional certification
Percentage of Travel:Approximately 30%
