We currently have Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position available in Northern Plains territory.  This role is with _Rea Hybrids_, a brand within the Seed & Trait US Commercial Organization of Monsanto.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Key goals and deliverables of the Regional Sales Manager position are: Full responsibility for sales team leadership, management, development and results including: Delivering results within your sales team to support company net income targets, deliver agreed upon unit volume for the region, delivers within expected or agreed upon farm gate pricing, new customer growth and retention.  This role is also responsible for leading a sales team of 6-10 District Sales Managers, directing sales efforts within the team, leading program implementation efforts within the sales team and providing territory analysis and recommendation for adjustments and analysis.


Responsibilities include: 


1. People and Organizational Responsibilities:

  • lead by example, set high standards of performance, confronts issues and leads the team to make sound decisions.
  • build a high performance team and individuals within a positive coaching culture
  • identify development needs and facilitate individual and team training
  • provide organizational direction and leadership
  • serve as an integral part of the management team
  • establishes clear goals within a written plan (business plan) for each individual and holds them accountable to deliver results

2. Customer satisfaction:

  • build strong long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure success
  • resolves customer issues efficiently in a productive manner
  • understand an operational excellence to maintain customer relationship on the following process; ordering, billing, shipping, and financing options

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • ensure team performs job related tasks in a safe manner according to Monsanto policy
     and procedures
  • identify and implement safety training as needed
  • follows Monsanto Code of Conduct and holds the sales team to the same standards


Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • B.S., or equivalent, in agronomy, agriculture, business, marketing or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience.
  • The person(s) in this position requires strong oral, written, computer, and presentation skills.
  • Time and territory management abilities.
  • Proven problem solver.
  • Demonstrated financial skills.
  • Demonstrates results orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
  • People development skills --  experience preferred
