Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
*This role will be responsible for supporting Enogen commercialization goals primarily through laboratory testing.
*Analyze grain, seed, flour, and mash samples from Ethanol plants and Enogen growers to support ethanol plant Enogen use as well as the technical support team.
*Work with the Enogen stewardship team to analyze grain samples from Enogen grower fields.
*Perform Enogen application testing as a means to continually improve levels of service provided to internal, and external customers.
*Handle a large volume of samples in a timely manner.
*Perform a wide range of test procedures.
*Analyze and interpret data with timely reporting of results.
*Assist with automated and manual ethanol plant data entry.
*Manage laboratory and equipment supplies.
*Perform duties with very limited supervision and direction.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: *Bachelors Degree in a Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Micro-Biology, etc)
*5+ years working knowledge of fermentation science, viscosity analysis, and HPLC.
*Knowledge of statistics and method development.
*Some working knowledge of enzyme activities.
*Database and data management.
*High degree of attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs.
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
*Previous experience with PCR analysis.
*Candidate must be team orientated with a high level of self motivation.
*Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills to be used across cross functional teams.
*Candidate must have excellent organization skills.
*Candidate must make safety a priority in all job aspects.
*Successful candidate must work independently and with minimal direct supervision.
*Candidate must be dedicated to providing a high level of quality focused results.
*Candidate will have the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environmental/situational needs.
*Ability to make timely, effective decisions.


Additional Information:
*Candidate will perform the majority of tasks in a laboratory and office setting.
*Some travel may be needed for Enogen trials, industry conferences, and training. An estimate of 10% travel is envisioned.
*Manual dexterity.
*Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
*Ability to handle loads up to 50 pounds.
*Ability to work days, as well as evenings and weekends when needed.
