Senior Project Manager

Business Unit:Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.
Position Purpose:A Land O'Lakes Sr. Project Manager is responsible for successfully leading medium to large complex business/IT projects. The person will commit to and take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion. The Sr. Project Manager employs Land O'Lakes project management practices and processes and uses a entrepreneurial approach to deliver projects that are on time, within budget, within scope, adhere to high quality standards and meet or exceed customer expectations, especially around business value realization. This role requires an individual to work effectively with internal and external customers, third party vendors and senior and executive management.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:A Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience leading increasingly complex projects is required including custom, package, Software as a Service (SaaS) or any combination of these.
The person must be an effective leader with a demonstrated track record of motivating medium and large cross-functional teams to achieve positive outcomes that meet or exceed project objectives.

Required Competencies & Other Skills:The ideal candidate is a proven, committed leader that effectively leverages well developed: interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills, technical, functional/process and organization experience and professional judgment to consistently deliver strong business outcomes.

The candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills and effectively collaborate and influence people across the organization in one-on-one, core team and large audience settings. The person must have a high degree of integrity and be effective at quickly establishing rapport and trust with key leaders in a matrix organization.

Preferred Experience & Education:A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a technical discipline and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred for this position. Experience and/or knowledge of different System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts - (Waterfall, Iterative-- e.g. RUP, Agile) is also desired. Experience managing projects with the following technologies is a bonus: Oracle CRM on Demand, Demantra, OBIEE, JDE EntrepriseOne. Supply chain, business functional and/or process experience in the consumer packaged goods or other manufacturing industry is preferred.

Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:Knowledge of the Clarity Project Portfolio Management software is preferred.
