Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
*Support definition and quantification of new business models, value capture strategies and pricing models for soon-to-be-launched products.
*Support projects related to development and implementation of strategic actions.
*In the role he/she will develop models, perform complex analyses, and provide distilled summaries and recommended solutions to the technology project teams as well as the Global Crops.
*Create and own financial modeling and business cases for technologies advancing through the stage gate process.
*Develop and support capital modeling for commercialization (when necessary).
*Responsible for evaluating a broad base of financial and market information about the seeds and crop protection business and the industry.
*Develop financial models, perform complex analyses, forecast business direction, provide distilled summaries and recommended actions.
*Provide analytical and project management expertise to project teams.
*Understand and proactively procure information needed to perform the analysis.
*View and analyze issues multi-dimensionally.
*Fill information gaps by making sound assumptions.
*Deliver on time when assignment is time critical.
*Analyze data and prepare reports and presentations, in a user friendly and technically sound format.
*Identify ideas and opportunities for improvement and define strategies for implementing change.
*Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations using financial modeling for mid to long term financial plans, technology and IP acquisition activity, crop plan, 5 year plan, technology development & trait introgression, fast-track, managing COGS, trended future requirements, growth opportunities, etc.
*Monitors and provides revenue and/or expense analyses and key performance measures on complex projects/problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of tangible and intangible variables.
*Provides analytical expertise to crop units or clusters.
*Identifies ideas and opportunities for improvement and define strategies for implementing change.
*Coordinates with Global crop teams to develop strong, user-friendly analytics tools which tie together trait and Crop Plan forecasting process with the financial forecasting process.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: *Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing or related field required
*MBA preferred
*Three years industry experience is preferred.
*Understanding of Finance and business principles and best practices.
*Pricing acumen.
*Clear and effective decision-making, with an emphasis on a data-driven approach.
*Experience working with the sales organization (preferred: experience in the Sales function); clear understanding of their needs and timeline.
*Ability to understand business economics.
*Strategic thinking – able to support new product launch schemes.
*Ability to interface across, and work closely with Strategy, Product Management and Sales.
*High-functioning communications skills (both verbal and written); ability to interface with senior leadership.
