Cargill Meat Solutions has an exciting opportunity available at our Cargill Value Added Meats-Retail facility located in Springdale, AR, for an Evisceration Area Manager on 2nd Shift.  This position is responsible for: leading and engaging the hourly employees, supervising the processes around plant operations, EHS and food safety, and the results of their team.  


Accountabilities include (but not limited to):


  • ensuring all employees are trained, engaged, and managed effectively through performance management, development and talent management processes;
  • leading the engagement process at the team level to ensure improvements are made, metrics are tracked, and that employees are involved in the action of planning and implementation;
  • ensuring all policies are administered consistently and equitably across all employees
  • ensuring all employees and ideas are respected and valued and their unique and diverse perspectives are leveraged to improve business results
  • ensuring employees are properly trained and equipped (PPE) to do their jobs safetly and effectively
  • monitoring use of environmental resources and strive to promote energy and water saving methods wherever possible
  • providing proper training for all plant employees for HACCP/SSOP and GMP procedures to ensure understanding and implementation
  • succssful deployment and sustainability of compliance related processes
  • ensuring employees have appropriate tolls, equipment and training to produce products that are clean, cold, correct, and on time - at best cost
  • building awareness with all employees around our customers - elevate understanding around who they are making product for
  • providing adequate training and follow-up on proper uses of equipment for the longevity and well being of the plant's assets



  • 1 years supervisory experience
  • 1 year experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organizations
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Demonstrated excellent problem-solving/decision making skills and abilities
  • Safety and loss control management experience
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of software programs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, teach and provide coaching to employees
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • 2+ years experience in a production environment
  • Bilingual skills
