Monsanto Canada is seeking an IT Developer to join our IT Project Management Team, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba for a term position ending in August 2012. 
 
The IT Developer will use his or her skills to help support the Canadian business through their interactions with both internal and external contacts.  The incumbent would be responsible for:
 
·         Consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives
·         Creating documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections
·         Creating manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures
·         Reviewing, analyzing, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization&##39;s application systems
·         Developing reports for business applications
·         Application and user support of business systems
·         Meeting or exceeding all global standards
·         Meeting or exceeding organizational safety requirements
 


Qualifications:
·         Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
·         Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
·         Proven knowledge of multiple programming languages (Java, ,HTML, ASP, SQL, AJAX)
·         Proficient in SharePoint; SQL Navigator/ SQL+; IntelliJ; MS Project; Word; Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook
·         Strong written documentation skills
·         Basic project management skills
·         Analytical skills
·         Strong problem solving, testing, debugging & implementation skills
·         Strong written & verbal communication skills
 
Educational Requirements:
 
·         College Diploma - Computer Analyst Programmer or equivalent with 1 - 3 years experience
