Business Unit:Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.
Position Purpose:Oracle database administration in support of projects and all Oracle database environments, including: software install, database upgrades, backup and recovery, create and promote database objects, database refreshes, capacity planning, monitoring and performance tuning, maintain documentation and standards, manage users and database security.
 

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management-Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience for 3-5 years as an Oracle DBA in support of the areas of responsibility listed above.


Required Competencies & Other Skills:DBA Experience working with Oracle 10/11g, Oracle RAC, RMAN, OEM; Oracle performance tuning; good knowledge of unix/linux operating systems; sound communication skills appropriate to the audience, ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, perform as member of cross functional team to deliver Business and IT driven initiatives; solid problem solving, analytical skills to diagnose, escalate, and resolve issues successfully; effectively organize time, and activities; figures out the necessary processes to get things done; leverages others' expertise.


Preferred Experience & Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management-Information Systems; 5 or more years experience as Oracle DBA.


Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Oracle database and Oracle Data Warehouses, knowledge and experience with database partitioning and advanced compression, Cloud Control 12c; excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations to peers; strong customer service skills; experience as Database Administrator of MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008;
Percentage of Travel:5%
