Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
During this May-December 2012 co-op, the intern will participate in planting activities to maximize yield and preserve quality. Intern will also evaluate defoliation of seed crop at a set period post-pollination, resulting seed yield, rate of drydown, and output physiological quality. The intern will get exposure to the entire seed corn production cycle, from planting, to detasseling, to harvest, to condition/treat/package, and last distribution. Intern will also have a project that will be field based and targeted towards improving production methods, and will analyze the results of this project post-harvest.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Majoring in Agricultural Systems Technology, Agricultural Business, or Agronomy
* Ability to interact with wide range of people
* Mechanically oriented
* Excellent computer skills
