EPA Product Registration Specialist

Position Purpose:To prepare and present properly organized, scientifically complete and acceptable data packages to the Environmental Protection Agency for the purpose of obtaining registrations of new pesticides, label expansions, and for the registration of all current pesticide products.
Train registration staff to support registration requirements.
To maintain, liaison and dialogue with key officials of State agencies to maintain registration of all fertilizers, pesticides, and to obtain Section 18s and 24(c) label.
Approve and maintain CPDA, CDMS, Agrian and ALSTAR label web sites
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:For successful performance in this position, at least 10 years of experience in a regulatory field, preferably EPA, and/or contact with government personnel is required together with a background in FIFRA, chemistry, and knowledge of toxicology. International pesticide or fertilizer registration experienced desired. A post-graduate degree of either a Masters or Doctorate is helpful in contacts with EPA, states, and Agriculture Canada and in providing additional knowledge in the above fields.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position include outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet skills, ability to arrange and track multiple priorities, high attention to details, excellent organizational abilities, outstanding written and verbal skills, and ability to establish good interpersonal relationships.
Preferred Experience & Education:A post-graduate degree of either a Masters or Doctorate and at least ten years of experience in a regulatory field, preferably EPA pesticide, micronutrient or international registration experience.
Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:High attention to details, excellent organizational abilities, outstanding written and verbal skills, and ability to establish good interpersonal relationships.
Percentage of Travel:1 -2 weeks/year
