Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Sustainable Agriculture Partnership group as an Administrative Assistant.  In this role, you will provide direct administrative support to the Vice President, Consumer Traits, the Director of Communications Stakeholder, BioDirect and also the Director of International Partnerships.  You will also support the Sustainable Agriculture Leadership Team.  This dynamic role includes strong administrative components along with strategic support of operational needs. You will also interact with the Monsanto&##39;s Teams across all Monsanto global regions.
 
A successful candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines while responding to emails and voicemails in a timely manner, and with minimal supervision.
 
Responsibilities include:
Manage calendars, coordinate travel arrangements, plan meetings, coordinate projects and fulfillment activities, track budgets, process invoices, track team safety requirements and expenses
Utilize software, systems and research information to gather information, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations
Obtain quotes and request for purchase (RFPs) from vendors and event sites
Create projects in SAP and track expenses and invoice reconciliation in accounting systems
Create purchase orders and facilitate vendor payments in SAP
Track and manage project costs and business spend against budget
Capture and communicate team meeting notes and action items
Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders
Take and deliver messages as well as provide information to callers
Setup and maintain electronic and paper files, coordinate office supply needs, perform typing assignments, proofread documents
Maintain a team calendar for key events
On-board new employees, facilitate various team/employee processes
Maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information
Actively pursue learning and self-development and utilize feedback to continually enhance performance
Manage special projects as assigned
 


Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of related administrative experience is required.
High school diploma is required. Some college attendance is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SAP, Concur and the Internet is essential.
The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize work is essential.
Must have strong communication and people skills to enable cross-functional interactions with other departments or external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work as a team member to accomplish overall Monsanto objectives.
The successful candidate will demonstrate effective written and oral communication and listening skills as they interact with staff and other internal and external stakeholders.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, effective prioritization/time management skills, and superb follow-up skills.
Flexibility in adapting to the needs of the team is important.
