The primary responsibility of this role, as Industrial Vegetation Management (IVM) Sales Representative, is to build long-term sales opportunities that will provide sustainable Bayer business growth in the IVM industry within the western territory. The selected incumbent will cover sales initiatives in the western states, including WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, AZ, NM, CO, MT, WY, and UT. The incumbent is required to reside within this designated territory.
The incumbent will: Sell and promote Bayer Industrial Vegetation Management (IVM) products to channel partners, applicators and end-users in the Western US; Manage all aspects of the selling process and relationships with channel partners, applicators and end users; Identify end-user opportunities for Bayer IVM products within roadside, railroad, industrial and utility segments; Provide entrepreneurial leadership and vision for IVM partners, applicators and end-users within the territory; Maintain long-term consultative selling initiatives in the territory. The selected candidate is required to possess the following: B.S. degree with minimum of 7 years relevant IVM industry experience; non-degreed candidates will be considered with 10 years relevant IVM industry experience; Intimate knowledge and relationships with IVM channel, applicator and end-users in the territory; Hands-on experience dealing with the application and performance of various IVM products; Experience in working with state, county and federal stakeholders on building consensus with vegetation management specifications and treatment methods; Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently; Must have public speaking and sales presentation skills; Must live within the territory; Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% within the designated territory; Must possess strong PPT, Excel, and Word computer skills.
