Business Unit:Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency.
Position Purpose:Create, review and manage distribution of feed labels to assigned plants in compliance with FDA, AAFCO, State and business requirements. Coordinate distribution of feed labels to central plants, local manufacturers, feed consultants, print shops and others as needed.

Create labels requested by formulation and species technical resources.

Coordinate with nutrition, formulation and other departments as needed to ensure accuracy of information.

Determine what regulatory data is required based on manufacturing and shipping locations.

Review labels prior to releasing to plants, print shops, vendors, customers and regulators.

The review process is a critical step of the Labeling process. At this step we review all parts of the label for correct branding, nutrition, feeding instructions and precautionary statements.

We also ensure we are compliant with FDA, AAFCO, State and business requirements specific for medicated and non-medicated feed.Maintain the Labeling archive system by ensuring labels are available only when approved. Support the auditing process.

Distribute feed labels for central plants, large scale projects, feed license manufacturers, feed consultants, customer service and others as needed. The individual in this role is a key representative of the Labeling team because of their exposure to all areas of the feed business. They will work closely with plants (central and JV's, Co-Mans, FLM's), nutritionists, species technical resources, formulators, master data, regulatory and marketing on a daily basis.

Provide labeling customer service to feed plants, nutritionists, formulators, and other business groups as required, by providing labels, addressing questions and troubleshooting issues.
Required (Basic) Experience &

Education:4 year degree.

Understand FDA, State and AAFCO regulations.

Self motivated and able to manage and prioritize their work. Flexibility to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must work well as a member of the team.

Strong math aptitude required.


Required Competencies & Other Skills:Must be detail oriented and able to provide a high level of accuracy.

Ability to communicate with all levels of the business efficiently, effectively and professionally both written and verbal.

Computer Skills required. Must be familiar w/Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat.


Preferred Experience & Education:Feed labeling experience preferred.


Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:Experience with labeling design software preferred.
