Reporting to the Grain Logistics Manager, the Regional Grain Logistics Coordinator will be part of team of logistic professionals focused on fluid supply chain management by optimizing the movement of grain and oilseeds from Country elevator position by truck and rail to our port terminal locations and North American end-use customers.

 

Principal Accountabilities:
40% - Regionally coordinate the movement of grain from country elevator position to port terminals and North American end-use destination.

25% - Maximize the shipment capacity and rail incentives of the country elevators by effectively planning and executing location shipment opportunities and maintaining a set of key performance indicators to quickly determine potential pipeline fluidity issues and make the appropriate decisions to resolve the issue.

20% - Be a channel to the Grain Logistics Manager, Rail Logistics team, Truck Logistics Team, Farm Service Groups, and Commodity Merchant to ensure that effective and timely movement of grain and oilseeds.

15% - Develop, communicate & maintain long, medium and short term plans for the pipeline to ensure alignment between rail, truck & terminal capacity and export sales/FSG origination programs.

Qualifications


Required:

• Experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain or completion of a degree or diploma in Business Accounting, Economics or Administration
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of logistics and/or operations/merchandising
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking


Preferred:


• CITT Designation
• Supply Chain Management experience
• Agriculture experience
