Cargill AgHorizons is the division of the company dedicated to creating value for agricultural producers, specifically grain and oilseed growers in the Prairies and Ontario.  This division leads the industry in providing innovations in the areas of grain origination, agronomic and grain marketing consulting, and crop input supplies. Professionally trained customer focus teams work one-on-one with their producer customers, building long-term relationships-striving to understand their farming business and providing distinctive solutions, matched to their unique needs.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Farm Marketing Representative carries primary responsibility for managing long term business relationships with Cargill's farmer customers and identifying opportunities to help them succeed through the sales of grain and crop input solutions and consulting products.  FMRs are expected to travel to customers' farms and place of business to work with them in gaining a deep understanding of their business needs.  Our customers are looking for sales representatives who have a passion for farm business. An active interest in the business world and a desire to be recognized for success by peers and customers is essential.

This includes: learning about their business, analyzing their needs, and influencing their business decisions in order to provide successful solutions in the areas of grain, crop inputs, and Cargill's consulting products. The FMR will achieve sales, gross margin and revenue goals through sales calls that present solutions and value propositions to Cargill customers.

15% - Under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager, participate in the development of a customer based sales plan that defines individual sales and margin objectives.  The plan is constantly updated through customer relationship management tools, weekly customer focus meetings, sales call planning and input from yourself and other team members. You will also attend sales, marketing, and community relations activities such as grower meetings, supplier meetings, community events, and field tours.

5% - Utilize every opportunity possible to increase your knowledge of the agriculture industry, your agronomic and grain marketing skills, and your understanding of the products and services Cargill offers in order to continuously increase the value that you can bring to our customers.
