We are seeking an individual to manage the care of our client’s genetically elite cows and heifers.  Strong attention to detail, animal husbandry expertise, and the ability to lead a team is a must to provide superior care for our client’s cattle in order to multiply their best genetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize daily work to be accomplished.
  • Keep donors clean, comfortable, and free from stress, disease, and injury.
  • Feed donors to meet nutrient requirements.
  • Maintain identification and location of donors.
  • Provide communication of donor issues such as health concerns, bull choices, and updates to the client.
  • Provide reproductive management including scheduling, hormone injections, heat detection, insemination, and palpations.
  • Enter donor procedures in the ET System for accurate billing and record keeping.
  • Collect and feed bulls according to schedule.
  • Maintain facilities such as cleaning pens, repairs and maintenance, and facilities picked up and orderly.
  • Maintain a professional image including presentable appearance and donor information kept positive and confidential
  • Provide proper care of client semen including maintain level of liquid nitrogen tanks, data entry of incoming semen and semen used.
  • Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure team members work safely.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education Requirements:

 Minimum high school diploma or GED

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of donor team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
