The Trait Genomics and High Throughput Zygosity Analysis Group in the Trait Genetics & Technologies R&D group  is seeking an enthusiastic Molecular Biologist to support trait genomics and marker development projects in major crops including cotton, sunflower and canola. The successful candidate will have the ability to design experiments, generate data, implement new strategies and manage resources to support trait genomics studies. This candidate will be extensively involved in generating data, analyzing results and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will have proven record of excellent written, verbal, interpersonal effectiveness and technical skills to ensure successful project completion and teamwork.


 


Primary Responsibilities:




  • Effectively work in a laboratory setting


  • Provide leadership in technical and experimental design


  • Effectively support trait genomics projects


  • Interface with lead scientists, breeders and cross functional scientists to build and maintain effective interdependencies


  • Manage and coach contract employees


  • Drive changes to the existing processes to gain efficiencies


  • Exhibit leadership in maintaining safety in the work environment
