Summary:    Directly supervises drivers/employees in the Market Haul Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes team concept and MB values
  • Works with scheduling on all pickups and transfers;
  • Maintains good communication with Dispatch and subordinates;
  • Ensures all safety policies are followed;
  • Assists with vehicle accidents and investigations;
  • Understands DOT regulations;
  • Review driver’s “Hours Summary” daily to prevent DOT violations;
  • Maintain and report all activity reports;
  • Reviews and approves payroll summary and timecards;
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education Requirements/Experience Requirements:

  • 2 years Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Must have a valid NC license, CDL class A license a plus.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and training.
