Your Role: Quality Control Lab Technician

The position will include routine testing of in process antigens and final product samples for the release of veterinary vaccines. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all methods are performed as written and filed with regulatory agencies and standard operating procedures.

Your Role: Quality Control Technician - Animal Care

This position will provide general poultry husbandry for the birds (chickens and turkeys) in the stock at the Winslow site. Your Role: Production Operator

The Production Operator is responsible for preparing, executing, and cleaning/turnover of production processes in poultry vaccine production. All tasks are performed in accordance with internal and external guidelines.

Your Role: Sterility Assurance Associate

The Sterility Assurance Associate provides critical oversight and direct contributions to Sterility Assurance/Contamination Control Strategy deliverables within the Biotech network, ensuring manufacturing operations meet global procedures, GMP, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role involves cross-functional collaboration with production, QC, and TS/MS teams. The primary goal is to improve site Sterility Assurance programs, including aseptic training/qualification, Aseptic Process Simulation (APS), and Environmental Monitoring (EM).

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide technical and SME input for various programs including Process, Aseptic, Cleaning Validation, and Contamination Control Strategy, while maintaining lifecycle documentation.
• Collaborate with area owners and suppliers to finalize validation/qualification requirements for facilities, processes, equipment, and systems, ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and regulations.
• Author and develop Elanco Functional Procedures (EFPs) for Contamination Control, sterile/aseptic processes, cleaning, and disinfection validation plans.
• Assist in troubleshooting, performing gap/risk assessments, providing support for regulatory inspections, and conducting necessary training.
• Provide oversight during the execution of (re)validation/qualification activities for manufacturing, aseptic processing, media fills, media holds, and sterilization cycles, and support corrective actions including RCI and CAPA.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• B.S.in engineering, microbiology/biology, or equivalent discipline.
• Familiarity with applicable Global Regulatory, Quality and ISO standards such as FDA (Food and Drug Administration), EU (European Union) GMP, USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), and CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)

What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):

• Experience with parenteral, biological, or vaccine manufacturing operations, environmental monitoring, aseptic processing, and sterile gowning.
• Experience with sterile manufacturing risk assessments and remediations implementation.
• Lean manufacturing and six sigma experience.
• Proven organization and time management skills to meet time sensitive deadlines, attention to detail, and collaboration in a team-based environment are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities, and flexibility to support multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Role: Director, Quality Control

The Director of Quality Control provides comprehensive administrative and technical direction across diverse QC functions, including Virology, Microbiology, and Immunochemistry. This pivotal role ensures timely and compliant support for all testing phases, setting departmental strategy and driving continuous improvement while adhering to internal specifications and regulatory requirements like USDA and cGMP/GLP. The Director champions strategic initiatives, manages significant budgets, and fosters cross-site collaboration within the Elanco network.

Your Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and direct the Quality Control department, establishing strategic objectives, managing significant budgets, and developing a high-performing team to ensure efficient operations and data integrity.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure robust compliance with 9 CFR, USDA, cGMP/GLP, and Elanco Global Quality Standards across all QC operations, including documentation, change management, and laboratory investigations.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of quality control testing, from raw materials to product release, ensuring timely data generation, thorough out-of-specification (OOS) investigations, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within QC, sharing best practices across the Elanco network and ensuring the validated state of test methods and laboratory systems.
• Technical Expertise: Offer expert technical guidance, troubleshooting, and scientific support to the team, developing and updating SOPs, and improving laboratory techniques and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biopharmaceuticals, or an advanced degree.
• 6 years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical/vaccine manufacturing environment, with significant experience in Quality Control laboratory operations and personnel management.
• Proven experience in department oversight, including organizational, budgeting, and strategic planning. Demonstrated ability to lead teams to achieve results and actively engage in the leadership and professional development of team members.
