The candidate for this position must have strong herd health knowledge and be able to diagnose, treat, and document treatment of mastitis and administer injections in proper sites, IV s, drench, and give boluses. Must be able to operate a skid steer, tractor, and pickup truck pulling a livestock trailer. Must be self-motivated and proficient in time management. Must also be a team player, but in a leadership position. This employer is looking for someone who is observant and is detail oriented and follows protocols when administering treatments. All treatments need to be entered prior to being administered due to the nature of the automatic milking system being utilized on the operation.
